Sun, free time, fun plans. Summer should be bright and cheerful. Yet, many young people experience the opposite: gloom, worry, or loneliness. When school or work routines drop away, thoughts and feelings often hit harder. A summer depression happens more often than many realize, and it can feel overwhelming. But you don’t have to carry it alone. Even this summer, @ease locations are open to listen and support you. At the bottom of this article, you’ll find all adjusted opening times per location.
Do you recognize this? Summer can unleash a lot of unnoticed thoughts. Little things pile up, and before you know it, your mind is full. Perhaps:
- Are you feeling sad while everyone else seems happy?
- Do you feel restless or panicky because of the heat or the ‘having to enjoy’?
- Do you experience social pressure to do fun things even though you don’t feel like it?
- Does sadness or stress suddenly surface without distraction from school or work?
- Do you notice that your sleep pattern is completely reversed?
- Do you feel lonely because everyone is on vacation?
You’re not alone. At @ease, we especially see in the summer how important it is to have a place where you can share your story with peers. In our “living rooms,” people are ready to listen — no waiting list and completely free of charge. Talking to someone your own age often feels easier than talking to an adult. Whether you’re feeling stressed, worrying about school, or just really not feeling okay: we listen. No judgment. Walk in whenever you need to. That’s @ease.
