Starting Tuesday 21 May 2024, our brand-new @ease location in Roermond will open its doors wide to welcome young people. On Wednesday 15 May 2024, we celebrated the opening in a festive way together with Alderman Marianne Smitsmans-Burhenne.
Alderman Marianne Smitsmans-Burhenne: “The low-threshold peer-to-peer contact, the strong connection with our local care and welfare organisations, and the link to scientific research were key reasons for bringing @ease to Roermond. It’s a great example of how we try to meet young people’s needs in our municipality. A listening ear or someone who thinks along with you – without judgment – can make a huge difference when you’re struggling mentally as a young person.”
@ease in Roermond was set up together with the Municipality of Roermond, Wel.Kom, JSP+, and local care and welfare organisations. The @ease location is open every Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at JSP+ (Sint Christoffelstraat 17). You don’t need an appointment – but if you prefer one, feel free to email roermond@ease.nl.
