AI Transparency Policy
At @ease, we’re open about our use of AI.
Our conversations are always conducted by real people. At @ease, young people talk to trained peers, never to AI. Human contact is at the heart of our approach.
However, we do use AI for some of our visual content. We do this intentionally, for two main reasons.
1. Inclusivity and diversity
@ease is here for all young people. We want as many young people as possible to see themselves reflected in our communications. That’s why we intentionally represent different cultural backgrounds, ages, body types, clothing styles, gender identities, and young people with physical disabilities.
With AI, we can better highlight that diversity than with standard stock photos.
2. Privacy and anonymity
Safety and anonymity are important values at @ease. With AI, we can depict situations and emotions without using photos of real young people or processing personal data. This allows us to protect young people’s privacy and prevent recognizable individuals from being linked to personal topics.
When generating images, we follow a number of clear principles:
1. Real people where real people matter
Photos of volunteers, staff, locations, and other people involved are always real photos. These are the people you can actually meet at @ease as a young person.
2. We use AI solely for illustrative purposes
Some stock images on our website, flyers, posters, or campaigns are AI-generated. These images do not depict real conversations or real visitors, but rather convey a feeling, situation, or theme. Consider, for example, the illustrative images of young people leaning and/or hanging out.
3. Transparency is a top priority
When an image is created using AI, we indicate this in the metadata or image information. This way, anyone can see when an image is AI-generated.
