Young people want one platform for mental support

More than half of young adults in the Netherlands struggle with mental health issues, but finding the right help is often confusing.

That’s why we’re working with other organisations and young people on one online platform you can turn to when you’re not feeling okay. No hassle, no barriers, just a safe space with reliable info, peer contact, a listening ear, and support that fits you.

Our volunteer Wiger (second from the right in the photo, next to Queen Máxima) is a member of the @ease youth council and was there on 30 January 2024 when we presented our plans to Queen Máxima and Minister Helder (Ministry of Health), during a working visit to the Everything okay? Support Line .

“Er zit veel tussen je goed voelen en professionele hulp nodig hebben,” vertelde Wiger. “Wat als je je langere tijd niet oké voelt? Dan moet er een plek zijn waar je makkelijk vindt wat je nodig hebt.”

Together with MIND Us, De Kindertelefoon, MIND, 113, Join Us, Jongerenhulp Online and Transformers Community, we’re building that platform for young people aged 16 to 27. Because things can, and must, be different.

Minister Helder said it aptly:

The knowledge, motivation, and commitment of all parties and young people: it’s worth sustaining. That’s what I want to work for.
