Our volunteers and professionals are still glowing: on Thursday 18 April 2024, Queen Máxima and Queen Letizia visited @ease at LAB6 in Amsterdam. A special moment, because they spoke with volunteers and professionals at @ease, among others.
During the visit, Anouk Boonstra – PhD candidate at Maastricht University and involved with @ease, shared insights from our scientific research on youth mental health. Jasper van der Biezen, now a professional at @ease, told his personal story and how @ease has played a big role in his journey since 2018.
Our peer listeners Femke, Ann Sophie and Jenischa were also there to share what their role involves, and why it’s so valuable for young people to talk to someone who truly understands what it feels like.
It was an honour and a special opportunity to show how important low-threshold support really is. We thank MIND Us for making this beautiful moment possible, and for their ongoing commitment to putting youth mental health firmly on the map.
