Wonderful news from Heerlen: @ease Heerlen, Queer Parkstad, and COC Limburg have joined forces and created a new shared space at Oranje Nassaustraat 23A. It’s a safe and welcoming place for young people to find support, connect, and be heard.
After a joint search, led by the municipality of Heerlen and with the support of the Streetwise Foundation, this building was chosen as the new home. It meets the needs of all the organizations involved and offers space for collaboration and connection. The official opening took place on June 27, 2024, by Alderman Arlette Vrusch (Welfare, Youth, and Inclusion).
During the opening, the building’s new name, Central P@rq, was revealed. Watch the video of the grand opening below.
What is @ease?
@ease is a national initiative supporting the mental well-being of young people between 12 and 25. At our locations across the Netherlands, including Heerlen, young people can walk in anytime, free and anonymously, to talk with trained
At @ease, we focus on accessible mental support, breaking the silence around mental health, and offering a safe, caring space where young people feel truly heard and understood. Whatever’s weighing on your mind — stress, sadness, loneliness, or troubles at home, school, or work — you’re welcome at @ease.
With this new location in Heerlen, @ease, Queer Parkstad and COC Limburg can jointly make a positive contribution to mental health and inclusivity in the Parkstad region.

Starting July 4, 2024, @ease in Heerlen will be open every Wednesday afternoon at The Break youth center and on Thursday afternoons at the new building on Oranje Nassaustraat. Follow @ease Heerlen on Instagram and also check the address of the other @ease location in Heerlen.
